Three Minersville Area students will represent their school at the “Winter Carnival” Snowflake Coronation pageant, to be held this Saturday. 

Rebecca Andruchek, Leah Eister, and Reiley Lonergan were selected by their classmates to represent Minersville Area High School in the Winter Carnival events.  

There were three judging events thus far which included a Judges Interview session and a Fashion Show which were both held at the former Pottsville Club as well as a costume fashion show that was held at Boscov’s Auditorium.
The pageant- which will be held this Saturday at Pottsville Area High School- begins at 7:00 p.m., with the Snowdrop coronation followed by the Snowflake coronation. Six finalists will be selected from the 21 high school representatives with the 2016 Snowflake Princess named shortly after.

Tickets are $6.00 each and are available from any of the contestants and also at the door. The contestants are also selling Winter Carnival buttons which are $2.00 each.

Guest performers for the pageant are the Pottsville Gymnastics & Theatrical Center, Inc. The theme of this year’s event- which is sponsored by the Greater Pottsville Winter Carnival- is “A Little Taste of Country”
