* TIMING…AREAS OF DENSE FOG WILL PROBABLY TAKE UNTIL LATE MORNING TO BURN AWAY. THE FOG WILL AFFECT THE MORNING COMMUTE.

* IMPACTS…THE FOG WILL MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS DUE TO VERY LOW VISIBILITY…NEAR ZERO IN PLACES. IN ADDITION…THE MOISTURE  MAY FREEZE ON SURFACES…CAUSING BLACK ICE AND SLIPPERY ROADS.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN WIDESPREAD DENSE FOG WILLSUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE VISIBILITIES…RESULTING IN HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS OVER MOST OF THE ADVISORY AREA. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO SLOW DOWN…USE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS OR FOG LIGHTS…AND KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU.
