The first weekend in August has typically been one of the busiest for the past seven years in the little village of Llewellyn in Branch Township, Schuylkill County.
The Good Intent Hose Company #1 of Llewellyn, PA will kick off it’s 8th Annual ATV Run weekend beginning Thursday, August 2nd at 5pm with its annual ATV Run Cheesesteak Night. You can try a famous Llewellyn Cheesesteak. JEM will be there from 8-11pm.
Friday, August 3rd, the annual spaghetti dinner will be served from 5-8pm, and is open to the public. “The Local Boys” is set to be there Friday night from 9pm-12am.
Breakfast will be served from 6-10am on Saturday, August 4th. Sapphire will be there that same night performing from 7-10pm after the run.
The participants will ride dirt bikes, ATVs and UTVs through varying terrain on a well marked course.
As in previous years, local power-sports dealers and many other vendors related to the event will have stands on the firehouse grounds. Homemade food will be available throughout the event.
As usual, Boy Scout Troop 600, Llewellyn, will be on the trail selling hot dogs and drinks. They will also be selling 50/50 tickets, which in previous years has had quite a large share of money. Make sure to stop in to get a dog and cold water or soda for a reasonable price!
The event was created way back in 2011 as a fund raiser for the Good Intent Hose Company. This covers the rising costs of firefighting equipment, insurance, and fuel skyrocket a few members decided to think outside the box.
Registration is going on the rest of the week.
Hours are as follows:
